Goffs graduates Big Zeb and Oscar Dan Dan dominated a quality card at Navan today.

Goffs graduates Big Zeb and Oscar Dan Dan dominated a quality day’s racing at Navan today, landing both Grade 2 events on the card. 

Colm Murphy’s stable star Big Zeb ran out the comfortable winner of the Grade 2 Fortria Chase, a race he won last year en route to Queen Mother Champion Chase glory at Cheltenham.  The nine year old is 7/2 to retain his title next March, and according to Murphy he will appear next in the Dial A Bet Chase at Leopardstown at Christmas. 

The Tom Mullins trained Oscar Dan Dan meanwhile led home a 1-2-3 for Goffs in the Grade 2 Lismullen Hurdle, with Jumbo Rio in second followed by Moskova, and will be aimed at a second consecutive success in the Grade 1 Hattons Grace Hurdle later this month. 

Big Zeb was sold at Goffs Land Rover Sale 2004 by Whitehorse Stud to Pat Redmond for €34,000.  Oscar Dan Dan was sold as a foal at Goffs December National Hunt Sale by Gaynestown Stud to Ballyphilip Stud in 2002 for €8,000.
