Two more Goffs 2YO Stakes winners to get the pulse racing
The appeal of the upcoming Goffs Orby Sale was further enhanced on both sides of the Irish Sea with the success of Dragon Pulse at the Curragh and Coupe De Ville at at Salisbury.
Dragon Pulse is now a 25-1 shot for next year’s Group 1 Qipco 2,000 Guineas after he dented the reputations of a few big hopes to give Jessica Harrington a second successive win in the Group 2 Galileo European Breeders Fund Futurity Stakes. The son of Kyllachy was stepping up to 7f for the first time in a race that has an enviable record of producing top class performers and boasts a role of honour that includes fellow Goffs graduate and Champion Two Year Old, New Approach. The winner will now look to contest the Group 1 National Stakes later this month.
Coupe De Ville is another exciting prospect after winning the Listed Stonehenge Stakes at Salisbury. The son of Clodovil was winning his third race this season and is sure to progress for the Hannon stable.
Dragon Pulse was sold by Owenstown Stud to DC for €120,000 at the Goffs Orby Sale 2010 whilst Coupe De Ville was sold by Rathasker Stud to Grove Stud for €74,000 at the Goffs November Foal Sales 2009.
