Trainer Jamie Osborne appointed to promote Goffs Orby Sale
18/05/2012
Lambourn trainer Jamie Osborne will act as UK agent for Goffs to promote this year’s Orby Sale as part of a significantly increased investment by Goffs into the British yearling buyer market.
Jamie will work with the Goffs team to highlight the value and quality at Goffs to UK buyers alongside training his 65 horse string, many of who are graduates of the Orby Sale.
Commenting on the appointment Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby said:
“The UK is the biggest overseas market for the Orby Sale and Jamie’s contacts among British owners and trainers should prove an invaluable asset in the promotion of our premier yearling sale whilst he will be speaking from experience as a regular and valued Goffs client.
Jamie’s appointment is one of a number of new UK-focused initiatives for the 2012 Orby campaign, which also includes an event at Royal Ascot and a dedicated chartered flight for buyers back to the UK following the Orby Sale”.
Lambourn-based Osborne has trained over 400 winners including Dewhurst winner and Champion two year old Milk It Mick as well as enjoying big race success at Royal Ascot and in France and Dubai. He added:
'I am delighted to be assisting Goffs in their endeavours to increase the awareness in England of the undoubted quality and value that the Orby Sale offers yearling buyers. As a regular buyer at Goffs I am always hugely impressed by their service, both in terms of the quality of their horses and their superb customer service'
The new format Orby Sale on 3 – 4 October takes place just two days before the Arc meeting. It will be followed by the one day Sportsman’s Yearling Sale on 5 October. Nominations are now being taken for both sales. Click here for further information.
