Are you ready? Goffs launch strong Kempton catalogue

The strongest ever catalogue for Goffs Ready-To-Run Sale at Kempton is now available online.

88 juveniles will be offered for sale on thenew date of Tuesday 29th March.

A sale with a serious success rate, almost half of the horses bought at Kempton last year have already won including Stakes winner New Planet and Puddle Duck, both juvenile winners at York’s prestigious Ebor Meeting.

The day promises to combine the serious business of buying winners with the fun and enjoyment of a real social occasion.  The day will kick off with the Breeze Up on the superb Polytrack at 10.30am, acknowledged as unrivalled for viewing two year olds in their paces, whilst the sale will start at 3pm following a Champagne Reception hosted by Goffs and Kempton Park Racecourse.  The relaxed atmosphere will continue as lunch will be served in the sales arena and can continue into the afternoon without leaving the action.  Throughout the Champagne Reception and lunch buyers will be able to view films of each two year old working on the track – so combining business with pleasure.

Highlights of the catalogue include Mocklershill’s son of Medaglia D’Oro out of a Stakes winning and Group 2 placed dam (), the colt’s half brother is Group 1 placed.  Also featured are a son of leading US sire El Prado out of a winning half sister to multiple Group 1 winner Ticker Tape (),  Knockanglass Stables’ Elusive Quality filly out of a Group placed dam who has produced five winners from five runners (), as well as Trickledown Stud’s smashing Dubawi filly () whose dam has an equally impressive success rate of runners to winners.

Among a strong draft from Bansha House Stables are a Kodiac own sister to Stakes winning two year old Sweet Cecily () and a daughter of Royal Applause out of Stakes winner Salamanca ().  Leading sire Invincible Spirit has some exciting offspring catalogued including a colt out of an own sister to Docksider from the Bloodstock Connection (), Hillwood Stud’s filly from a strong black type family () and a well related colt from Oak Tree Farm () who made €45,000 at Goffs Orby Sale.

The diverse range of sires also includes Amadeus Wolf, Azamour, Dark Angel,Elusive City, Green Desert, Hurricane Run, Iffraaj, Kyllachy, Moss Vale, Red Clubs, Scat Daddy, Speightstown etc.

Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby commented:

“This sale is a must for owners impatient to get racing and get winning, and the title of Ready to Run proved to be as accurate as ever in 2010 with winners flowing less than a month after the sale.

We are delighted to see our decision to hold the sale later this year vindicated as our vendors have supplied us with some truly top class two year olds to sell at Europe’s premier Breeze Up venue.  Polytrack is the fairest and most consistent surface to view the two year olds in their paces, while Kempton’s proximity to London and Heathrow makes it very convenient for international and London based clients who will find the Goffs Breeze Up at Kempton a unique event combining business with pleasure”.
