Quality catalogue for Goffs February Sale

The 515-lot catalogue is now available and features something for everyone with Flat and National Hunt yearlings, two year olds, fillies out of training and breeding stock.

Flat breeding stock:

A half sister to Gr.1 Breeders Cup Juvenile winner Vale Of York (Lot 458) is among the stars of the catalogue, as is Classic Legend (pictured below), a Stakes winning daughter of Galileo out of Futurity Stakes winner Lady Lahar (Lot 409). Other highlights include a Kingmambo mare out of Irish Oaks winner Dance Design (Lot 350), a winning half sister to Gr.1 Irish St Leger winner Septimus (Lot 334), the dam of Gr.1 Middle Park Stakes winner Dark Angel (Lot 443), and a Montjeu half sister to Gr.2 Debutante Stakes winner Campfire Glow (Lot 482). Notable covering sires include Dylan Thomas, Invincible Spirit, Nayef, Shamardal etc The strong Darley draft includes a daughter of Dubai Destination closely related to multiple Group 1 winner Halfway To Heaven (Lot 451) as well as mares by Dubawi, Grand Lodge, Mr Greeley and Refuse To Bend.

Flat yearlings:

There is a host of well bred yearlings on offer including a Cape Cross colt out of a half sister to Grand Lodge (Lot 109), a daughter of Medicean out of an own sister to Group 1 Lockinge Stakes winner Soviet Line (Lot 147), as well as a Lawman colt out of an own sister to Temple Stakes winner Mind Games (Lot 141)

The diverse range of sires represented by yearlings and two year olds include Acclamation, Amadeus Wolf, Cape Cross, Dalakhani, Dubawi, Green Desert, Hurricane Run, Invincible Spirit, Motivator, Oasis Dream and Teofilo amongst many others.

 

National Hunt Prospects:

Among the exciting National Hunt prospects are a half brother to the dam of Grade 1 Supreme Novice Hurdle and Grade 1 Fighting Fifth Hurdle winner Go Native (Lot 284), a half brother to the Gordon Elliott trained Carlito Brigante (Lot 135) who landed a Grade 2 at Leopardstown over Christmas for Gigginstown House. Also featured is a half brother to Grade 2 performer On Raglan Road (Lot 132) as well as a half brother to Grade 2 Aintree Bumper winner Honest John (Lot 287).

Well related fillies include a Flemensfirth half sister to Grade 1 placed Lady Laureate (Lot 13) and a half sister to Grade 1 Triumph Hurdle winner Spectroscope (Lot 19), while heading up the National Hunt mares are headed by an own sister to multiple Grade 1 winning hurdler Straw Bear (Lot 390).

All the leading National Hunt sires are strongly represented including Flemensfirth, Beneficial, Oscar, Milan, Vinnie Roe etc.
