Day 4 Foals In Demand

Foals by Zoffany and Kodiac were in demand on the fourth day of the November Foal Sale, with the top lot, a son of Coolmore Stud’s Zoffany selling to Jamie Railton for €150,000 ( pictured). Consigned by Seskin Stud, this colt is out of a sister to the dam of recent Group 1 Metropolitan Stakes winner in Australia, Magic Hurricane.

There were some animated bidding duels throughout the day for foals by Tally Ho Stud’s Kodiac. Kilmoney Cottage Stud paid €140,000 for a daughter of Kodiac out of a sister to Breeders’ Cup Juvenile winner Vale of York from Killourney Mor Farm (), while Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock went to €137,000 for a filly by the same sire from the family of multiple Group winner Slim Shady, consigned by Galbertstown Stud ).

Shadwell Estate Co. purchased a son of Tweenhills Stud’s Harbour Watch, out of a winning sister to Hymn of Love for €120,000, consigned by Altenbach Bloodstock ), while Bobby O’Ryan secured a colt by Zoffany from The Castlebridge Consignment for €120,000.

First season sires Havana Gold and Society Rock were also popular with Yeomanstown Stud purchasing a colt by Society Rock from the family of Monsun, from Jockey Hall Stud for €95,000, while two colts by Havana Gold sold for €80,000 and €70,000 respectively.
