Further Increases On Day 2 Of November Foal Sale

Strong trade continued apace during the second foal session of Goffs November Sale which recorded increases across the board once more and a top price of €82,000 that far exceeded the second day last year. Turnover rose by 39% to €3,108,650, average was up 18% to €15,389 while the median jumped by 16% to €11,000.
 
Top billing went to a Frozen Power (Lot 437) sister to the Stakes winner Majestic Myles and Parbold who was Group 2 placed on three occasions this season, in the Coventry Stakes, Gimcrack and Vintage Stakes.  Consigned by Ballynaslaney Stud on behalf of Tony Cosgrave, the filly was sold to Rathmoyle Exports for €82,000.
 
Collegelands Stud enjoyed a successful day at Goffs and among their draft was a son of Monsieur Bond out of a sister to Group winner Ratio (Lot 429) who fetched €66,000 when sold to Grove Stud.  Mick Flanagan earlier went to €58,000 for a well related colt from the first crop of Dream Ahead from JK Thoroughbreds (Lot 342).  Other highlights on Day 2 included two €53,000 purchases by Goodwill Bloodstock, first was an Approve colt (Lot 269) from Harcourt Stud and later a son of Kodiac from Ridge Manor Stud (Lot 412).
