Glass Office serves up further Orby glory at Kempton

There was only one horse in it at the line with Glass Office running out a most impressive winner of the Group 3 Sirenia Stakes at Kempton.

The son of Verglas broke his Maiden at the same track and followed that up with victory in a Nursery before scoring on his first attempt at Group level when winning by over three lengths.

Trained by David Simcock for leading owner Mrs Fitri Hay, the two year old was bought by Stephan Hillen from Baroda & Colbinstown Studs for €60,000 at the Goffs Orby Sale 2011 and connections will look further Group success before the end of the season.

2012 has seen a strong focus on quality at this year’s Orby Sale, which features a handpicked selection of the best Irish bred yearlings to be offered on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 October 2012.  The Orby Sale will be followed by Ireland's second best yearling sale, The Sportsman's Sale, which takes place on Friday 5 October. 

Saturday’s racing also provided a major catalogue update for  at the , which is held after racing at Doncaster Racecourse on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 September. The Three Valleys filly will be offered by Ownstown Stud and is a half-sister to Gordon Lord Byron, who has won the Listed City Of York Stakes since publication of the catalogue and finished a close second in the Group 1 Sprint Cup at Haydock. She is due to sell on Friday 14 September.
