Glencove Marina back to winning ways

Glencove Marina, a previous winner of the Goffs Land Rover Bumper and winner of the Grade 1 Land Rover Champion Novice Hurdle at Punchestown, was back in winning form at Navan on Saturday when beating Made In Taipan by 8 lengths to land the Grade 3 Irish Form Book An Uaimh Chase.

His third win from four starts over fences, the Willie Mullins trained eight year old travelled and jumped easily under Ruby Walsh over the two and a half miles, and is likely to be aimed at the Guinness Gold Cup at the Punchestown Festival.

Glencove Marina was sold at the 2005 Goffs Land Rover Sale by Carraigafoyle House toSean Tiernan for €48,000. Graduates of the sale are enjoying tremendous success this year, particularly at the Cheltenham Festival with Gold Cup winner Imperial Commander and Champion Chase winner Big Zeb.
