Goffs appoint Joe Hopkins as US Agent

Goffs is pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Hopkins as the company’s US representative.

Hopkins succeeds Sean Clancy who was recently added to the Irish Thoroughbred Marketing international agents’ roster and so will continue to promote Goffs alongside his replacement.

A Kentucky native, Joe Hopkins brings experience and qualifications from both sides of the Atlantic to the position.  His impressive CV includes roles with Taylor Made Sales Agency, Bluewater Sales as well as working for Tommy Hamilton’s Silverton Hill Farm – owners of Irish champion two year old Pathfork.

Joe graduated from the Irish National Stud course in 2011 and prior to this spent a sales season as Bloodstock Executive at Goffs as well as representing Goffs at the Hong Kong International Sales in Sha Tin.  He is a recent auctioneering graduate from the Missouri Auction School.

Commenting on the appointment, Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby said:

“Joe Hopkins is a strong addition to the Goffs’ team of international agents.  His knowledge and experience of, not to mention enthusiasm for, the US and Irish bloodstock industries will be a great asset to Goffs.  His focus will be the enhancement of relationships with existing US buyers as well as seeking new buyers to attend the premier sales at Goffs.  Last season’s US Turf Champion Cape Blanco was bought as a yearling at Goffs Orby Sale – an excellent example of the outstanding racehorses that buyers will find at Goffs”.
