Goffs graduate Steps To Freedom edged out Prospect Wells to win the Grade 2 Opus Energy Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham on Friday.
The pair saw off the challenge of Ericht up the hill and and the Jessica Harrington-trained Steps To Freedom battled to get up and land the days feature race by a neck and was described by winning jockey Robbie Power as a "very, very good horse" Steps To Freedom was sold as a foal at Goffs by Michael Thornton to Pat Morris for €20,000 and as a yearling by Ringfort Stud to Peter Fortune for €7,000.
