Goffs Graduates Win Around the Globe

Goffs graduates made headlines around the globe today courtesy of Gordon Lord Byron’s Group 1 win in Australia and Toast of New York’s Group 2 UAE Derby victory.

The Tom Hogan trained Gordon Lord Byron could not have made a better start in Australia with his AUS$1,000,000 Group 1 George Ryder Stakes win coming at his first start in the Sydney Championships. Raced by Morgan Cahalan, the six-year-old was purchased by Jessica Cahalan from Owenstown Stud at the Goffs 2008 November Foal Sale for €2,000.

The Jamie Osborne trained Toast of New York completed the double for Goffs when winning the Group 2 UAE Derby at the prestigious Dubai World Cup Meeting. Owned by Michael Buckley, the son of Thewayyourare was offered for sale at the 2012 Goffs Orby Sale by Camas Park Stud. Bought back in the ring by the vendor, he was sold privately shortly after to Jamie Osborne for €60,000.
