Goffs are delighted to announce that the initial catalogue for the Goffs London Sale in association with QIPCO is now available online.  Click here to view.

World class Breeze Up horses and Horses in Training will be offered for sale at The Orangery at Kensington Palace on the eve of Royal Ascot, Monday 16 June 2014.

The initial catalogue features Breeze Up horses only.  A second complete catalogue incorporating all Horses in Training and Breezers will be published prior to the sale.  All Horses in Training added between now and the sale will be available to view on the Goffs website.

Breeze Up vendors have targeted the London Sale with a selection of two year olds that would be difficult to match anywhere else in the world, resulting in a catalogue of real maturity and depth.

The 38-Lot Breeze Up catalogue boasts an impressive sire profile that includes Acclamation, Bernardini, Danehill Dancer, Dark Angel, Distorted Humor, Dutch Art, Elusive Quality, Exceed And Excel, Fastnet Rock, Galileo, Giant’s Causeway, Invincible Spirit, Lope De Vega, Makfi, Mastercraftsman, New Approach, Rip Van Winkle, Shamardal, Smart Strike, War Front etc.

The regally bred brother to Classic winners Finsceal Beo and Frozen Power (Lot 33) is one of a high number of headline lots for London, as is the Galileo colt out of Royal Ascot Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes winner Elletelle (Lot 17) whose own brother Adelaide was placed in a Group 2 at Longchamp last weekend.

A brother to exciting sprinter Hot Streak, runner up in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes last season, is also catalogued (Lot 7), along with a Soldier Of Fortune brother to Australian Group 1 winner Glencadam Gold (Lot 2).

Other highlights include a Dansili sister to Group 2 Windsor Forest Stakes winner Joviality and Group 2 Dante Stakes winner Bonfire (Lot 35), a City Zip brother to Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes winner Sir Gerry (Lot 26), a Makfi brother to a Stakes winner out of Group 2 winner Danceabout (Lot 14), a son of Lope De Vega out of a sister to Hurricane Run (Lot 25) and a Smart Strike brother to two Stakes winners (Lot 23).

Launching the London catalogue, Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby said:

“In my 32 years in bloodstock I have rarely witnessed such positive feedback as we have received since announcing Goffs London Sale in association with QIPCO.

Goffs will offer a world class selection of handpicked horses from the most beautiful venue on the eve of the most prestigious and elegant meeting in the world, Royal Ascot.  Beautiful locations and positivity mean nothing, however, unless we have the horses and we are indebted to our vendors who have supported a totally new sale with a catalogue of truly world class pedigrees and individuals that are the measure of any.

We have received an equally strong response from Horses In Training vendors and will limit this section to approximately twenty select Lots, some of which will hold entries at Royal Ascot.

I would also like to give special mention to our title partner QIPCO.  HH Sheikh Fahad and his brothers have been so enthusiastic from the outset and we are grateful for their invaluable backing”.

The Breeze Up will take place at Kempton Park Racecourse at 10.30am on Saturday 14 June 2014 and breeze footage will be available at Kempton and online at www.goffs.com from 1pm that day.  Horses will be available for inspection at Kempton Park on Saturday 14, Sunday 15 and on the day of the sale, Monday 16 June.

During the sale, it will be possible for purchasers to bid from Kempton Park where a bid-spotter will transfer the bid via live link to auction at The Orangery at Kensington Palace.
