Goffs yearlings My Dream Boat, Ribchester, and Persuasive Dominate Day 2 of Royal Ascot

Goffs yearling graduates dominated proceedings on the second day of Royal Ascot with a hat trick of victories by My Dream Boat, Ribchester and Persuasive.

My Dream Boat (pictured) landed the Group 1 Prince Of Wales’s Stakes for Clive Cox, Adam Kirby and owners Paul and Clare Rooney.  The son of Lord Shanakill is a graduate of the Goffs Sportsman’s Sale having been sold there in 2013 by Knockatrina House Stud to Shanavill Stables for just €16,000.  Click here to view the pedigree.

Orby Sale purchase Ribchester got the afternoon off to the best possible start with success in the opening Group 3 Jersey Stakes for Godolphin, Richard Fahey and William Buick.  Third in the QIPCO 2000 Guineas this year, and winner of the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes at two, the colt by Iffraaj was sold at the Orby Sale 2014 by the Irish National Stud to Highfield Farm for €105,000, and previously as a foal by Kilmore Stud to Jamie Railton Bloodstock for €78,000. Completing a Stakes double for the Orby at Royal Ascot was the John Gosden trained Persuasive in the Listed Sandringham Handicap under Frankie Dettori.  The unbeaten daughter of Dark Angel was sold at the Orby Sale by Owenstown Stud to her owners Cheveley Park Stud for €180,000.  Click here for Persuasive's pedigree.
