Goffs/DBS graduate Excelebration followed up his runner up spot to the superb Frankel in the Greenham Stakes last month with an easy victory in the German 2000 Guineas in Cologne on Sunday.
The Marco Botti trained son of Exceed And Excel travelled comfortably throughout and quickened well to lead approaching the last furlong and surging to a seven length victory.
Excelebration was sold at Goffs November Foal Sale 2008 by Owenstown Stud to John Walsh Bloodstock for €15,000 and the purchased at the DBS Premier Yearling Sale by Marco Botti for £20,000.
