The Group 1 winning Kingsgate Native confirmed his well-being when winning the Group 2 Temple Stakes at Haydock for owners Cheveley Park Stud and trainer Robert Cowell.
The eight year old son of Mujadil won the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes and the Group 1 Golden Jubilee Stakes as a juvenile and has now won over £725,000 in prize money. He was sold by Springfort Park Stud to Tally Ho Stud for 28,000EUR before he was re-sold by Tally Ho Stud to Highflyer Bloodstock for £20,000 at the DBS Premier Sales.
Reckless Abandon ran a fine race in the same race to finish third, beaten less than half a length. The DBS Premier Sales graduate finished his juvenile season unbeaten, with victories including the Group 1 Prix Morny and Group 1 Middle Park Stakes, and is sure to be one of the leading sprinters in 2013.
