Grade 1 Aintree Hurdle Success For Oscar Whisky

Goffs Land Rover star Oscar Whisky landed a repeat victory in the Grade 1 Aintree Hurdle this afternoon for Nicky Henderson.

Owner Dai Walters, who purchased him from Norman Williamson’s Oak Tree Farm for €80,000 at Goffs in 2008, described the race as a “dream come true” as Oscar Whisky narrowly denied Thousand Stars in an exact repeat of last year’s finishing order.

Today’s win follows the success of fellow Land Rover graduate Finian’s Rainbow for Henderson in yesterday’s Grade 1 Melling Chase.

Entries for the 2012 Land Rover Sale have now closed.  Entries for Goffs Punchestown Sale, which takes place at the Festival on Thursday 26 April close next week.  For entries contact Goffs on 045 886600.
