Goffs Land Rover Sale recorded another top level chase success yesterday when the Noel Meade trained Apache Stronghold landed the Grade 1 Flogas Novice Chase on Hennessy day at Leopardstown under a classic ride from Paul Carberry.
Owned by Paul and Patricia Hunt, the seven year old son of Milan was purchased by Noel Meade for €15,500 at Goffs Land Rover Sale in 2011 where he was consigned by Grennanstown Stud.
Apache Stronghold finished runner up in both the Grade 1 Drinmore Novice Chase at Fairyhouse and Leopardstown's Grade 1 Topaz Novice Chase this season, and following yesterday’s win is now 7/1 for the Grade 1 JLT Novice Chase at Cheltenham next month.
