Land Rover graduate Petit Mouchoir gave connections a day to remember at Leopardstown this afternoon when winning the Grade 1 Ryanair Hurdle in comprehensive style. Given a confident ride by Bryan Cooper and stealing an early march on favourite Nichols Canyon, the 5 year old son of Al Namix went on to score by seven lengths for trainer Henry De Bromhead and owners Gigginstown House Stud.
Petit Mouchoir was a six and a half length winner of the Goffs Land Rover Bumper at Punchestown in 2015 and has since mixed it with the best by running in seven Grade 1’s and looks a genuine Champion Hurdle contender for the 2017 Cheltenham Festival.
Petit Mouchoir was sold in the Goffs Land Rover Sale in 2014 by Brown Island Stables to Harold Kirk and WP Mullins for €100,000.
