Following an impressive Grade 1 success on Saturday Finian's Oscar is another Goffs graduate with a Cheltenham Festival date. The Grade 1 Tolworth Novice’s Hurdle at Sandown has been won by some top class performers in previous years and the trend looks set to continue as December National Hunt Sale graduate Finian’s Oscar maintained his unbeaten record to take this year’s renewal in good style.
The 5 year old son of Oscar took the lead over the second last in a determined move and completed his mission with ease for owners Ann and Alan Potts, continuing the superb run of fortune being enjoyed by the Colin Tizzard team. Finian’s Oscar was bred and sold by Richard and Martin O’Keefe in the December National Hunt Sale in 2012 to Richard Frisby for €24,000.
