Grade 2 Premier Hurdle success for GoffsDBS

Mwaleshi made all the running at Kelso racecourse to win the Grade 2 Premier Kelso Hurdle for owner and trainer Sue Smith.

The son of Oscar was winning his fourth race and was bought by Donald McCain for €82,000 at the Goffs Land Rover Sale before he was re-sold to Harvey Smith for £9,500 at the DBS Autumn HIT Sales.

The next chance to be part of this big race success is the DBS NH Festival Sales which takes place after racing on a vastly improved card at Newbury Racecourse on Saturday 23 March 2013. The timing of this sale is perfect to offer a horse with an entry at the Punchestown or Aintree Festival and six figure prices of £220,000, £155,000, £150,000, £120,0000, £100,000 etc, were coupled with an average of over £62,000 in 2012, while the second highest price for an Irish Point to Point horse at public auction in 2012 was at Newbury.
