Guineas placed Pornichet among latest HIT entries for London Sale

French 2000 Guineas third Pornichet heads the latest group of top class Horses In Training to be confirmed for Goffs London Sale in association with QIPCO.

Final entries for Horses In Training will be considered until noon on Thursday 29 May. They will be catalogued alongside 36 select two year old breezers for the inaugural eve of Royal Ascot sale at The Orangery at Kensington Palace.

Pornichet is trained by Nicolas Clement and was already a three time winner before his first attempt in Stakes company when finishing third in the French Classic. He looks a top class horse to follow this season.

Caledonia Lady is another exciting prospect announced today and holds an entry in the King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot.  The five year old has a strong record at the Royal Meeting having been placed in the Queen Mary Stakes as a juvenile, and has since gone on to Group success and won a Listed race on her most recent start earlier this month.

David Simcock’s multiple winner Café Society is sure to prove popular and the attractive rangy four year old will be offered with a Royal Ascot entry. George Baker trains Listed winner and Stakes performer Boomshackerlacker, who will be sold with an entry in the Royal Hunt Cup. The Michael Halford trained Regulation is another entry in the Hunt Cup that will be offered, he ran second in the Irish Cambridgshire last season before running out a comfortable winner at the Curragh.

The progressive Midterm Break is another with a Royal Ascot entry that will also go under the hammer in London, having won on his last two starts for David Barron including a competitive conditions race at Beverley four days ago.  Other entries include the promising two year old Bwana from Patrick Prendergast who has not finished out of the first two in any of his three starts to date, as well as maiden winner Queen Of Power who ran a promising race in the Irish 1000 Guineas last weekend.

Noel Quinlan’s talented maiden winner Prophesize will be offered with an entry in the Coventry Stakes, while other juveniles with Royal Ascot engagements announced yesterday include the Ger Lyons stable mates Cappella Sansevero, winner of the Listed Marble Hill Stakes, and recent maiden winner Dandyleekie.  They will target the Norfolk Stakes and Windsor Castle Stakes respectively.

Purchasers of horses with Royal Ascot engagements at Goffs London Sale in association with QIPCO will be facilitated to change ownership in time for the race, subject to conditions, thanks to a unique agreement between Goffs, the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) and Weatherbys.
