The Richard Fahey trained Lady's First gained her first Group race victory when successful in the Group 3 Atalanta Stakes at Sandown.
The daughter of Dutch Art had previously won the Listed Dick Hern Stakes at Haydock and has twice been placed in Group 2 contests but she managed to go be better in this mile contest, with jockey Tony Hamilton committing early for owners Norman and Heather Steel.
