Land Rover Bumper Number Three For Mullins

The Willie Mullins trained Moyle Park was the winner of the €100,000 Goffs Land Rover Bumper on the opening day of the Punchestown Festival.

Ridden by Patrick Mullins, the five year old son of Flemensfirth, winner of a Leopardstown bumper at the December meeting on his only previous run, was sent off 7/4 favourite for today’s race and came home ¾ length ahead of Wrath Of Titans in second and Don Cantillon’s Classic Move third.

Moyle Park was sold at the 2012 Goffs Land Rover Sale by Castledillon Stud to Peter Murphy for €10,000, and Paddy McCormack was the lucky recipient of the Land Rover Defender vendor prize.

It was a third win in the valuable Goffs sales race for Willie Mullins who previously trained Glencove Marina and Quiscover Fontaine to Land Rover success.

The catalogue for the 2013 Goffs Land Rover Sale will be available next week and all lots are eligible for next year’s Land Rover Bumper.
