Demi O’Byrne struck early when securing for €300,000, a Galileo filly from Croom House Stud who is out of a winning half sister to Group 1 Prix Saint-Alary winner Coquerelle. Hawthorn Villa Stud’s colt from Teofilo’s first crop () meanwhile headed a notable list of purchases by Sir Robert Ogden when fetching €300,000. His other acquisitions included the only Medaglia d’Oro yearling in the sale, from Barouche Stud, bought for€240,000; as well as an Acclamation colt from Max Morris’ Iverk Stud () who sold for €160,000.
Other highlights included an Oasis Dream colt from Camas Park Stud () who was knocked down to Alex Cole on behalf of Jim Hay for €250,000, and one of the real eye catchers on offer today was Lodge Park Stud’s Galileo filly out of Group winner Grecian Dancer () who sold to Cheveley Park Stud for €240,000. Blandford Bloodstockmeanwhile went to €220,000 for Churchtown House Stud’s filly from the first crop by Dylan Thomas ().
