Lycetts to sponsor insurance coverage for Goffs London Sale

Specialist brokers to the bloodstock industry, Lycetts, has teamed up with Goffs ahead of the inaugural Goffs London Sale in association with QIPCO.

The brokers are throwing their weight behind the event by sponsoring 30 days’ worth of free insurance cover for every horse sold at the glamorous event taking place at the Orangery at Kensington Palace on 16 June. The sale of world class two year-old Breeze Up horses and Horses in Training is the first of its kind in London.

The insurance cover provided by Lycetts will apply for 30 days from Fall of Hammer, giving purchasers peace of mind that their new acquisition is covered in the event of a fatality or catastrophic injury in the days following the Sale. This will be of particular benefit to those people buying horses who will be racing at Royal Ascot later in the week.

Commenting on the sponsorship deal, Lycetts’ Head of Bloodstock Sophie Chambers said:

“Lycetts is delighted to be associated with such a prestigious sale and feel that this is an opportunity for us to provide something really valuable to every purchaser. We believe that sponsoring 30 days’ worth of insurance cover for each horse purchased at the Sale is appropriate for the select nature of the auction and it is an innovative move which has not been offered at a thoroughbred bloodstock auction in Europe before now.

A sale in London with such an international outlook is a revolutionary step for the European bloodstock community and we are proud that in sponsoring this event, we are making a valuable contribution to the development and success of the Breeding and Racing Industry as a whole.”

Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby added:

“Lycetts’ innovative support is yet another ground-breaking initiative that sets the Goffs London Sale in association QIPCO apart. We are grateful to them for backing the concept in a way that could prove very beneficial to our purchasers”
