Goffs graduate Hurricane Fly recorded a twelfth Grade 1 win on his return to action in the Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown today, completing a hat trick on the card for Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh.
The 2011 Champion Hurdle star looked impressive as he made all the running, and was eased to the line after being left clear by Go Native’s fall at the last. Goffs December National Hunt graduate Captain Cee Bee finished 12 lengths in second.
Hurricane Fly was sold as a yearling at Goffs by the Irish National Stud to R. Teman and JL Pelletan for €65,000. The eight year old has won almost €1,300,000 in prize money.
