The 2017 Goffs Open Yearling & Horses In Training Sale will feature approximately 650 lots over three days from Tuesday 24 to Thursday 26 October. The catalogues are now available online. The Horses In Training will be offered for sale on Tuesday 24th followed by two days of yearlings.
Goffs Horses In Training Sale consistently sells horses that progress under both codes, and has produced winners on the flat in Ireland, the UK and across Europe this season while several Graded races at major National Hunt 
Festivals in recent years have been won by horses bought at this sale. Among this year’s HIT catalogue are impressive drafts from The Aga Khan Studs and Moyglare Stud as well as strong representations from Ballydoyle, Jim Bolger, Michael Halford, Jessica Harrington, Sheila Lavery, Ger Lyons, Johnny Murtagh, Michael O’Callaghan, John Oxx, J.A. Stack, Dermot Weld and many more. One of the highlights is SILVER CONCORDE (pictured), winner of the Grade 1 Weatherbys Champion Bumper at Cheltenham.
A limited number of wild card entries for the Horses In Training will be accepted until closer to the sale.
The Open Yearling Sale is also a prolific source of winners, headed in 2017 by two Stakes wins in the US as well as over 120 races in Europe. The sale has been extended from one day to two and will offer a wide range of commercial yearlings by sires including Acclamation, Alhebayeb, Bated Breath, Camacho, Dandy Man, Farhh, Holy Roman Emperor, Iffraaj, Lawman, Lope de Vega, Pivotal, Sea The Moon, Shamardal, Showcasing, Slade Power, Society Rock, Teofilo, Toronado, and Zoffany.
