The Barronstown Stud-bred colt Snowflake Dancer, purchased by Jim Bolger at last year’s Orby Sale, gave sire Dylan Thomas a winner with his very first runner when landing the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction Maiden Stakes at Dundalk on Friday.
Snowflake Dancer held off the Richard Fahey trained One Kool Dude to land the five-furlong maiden. The first foal out of a Sadler’s Wells half sister to Group 1 Prix de l’Abbaye winner Kistena, Snowflake Dancer’s victory also provided owner Mrs June Judd with the first £10,000 Racing Post Yearling Bonus prize of 2011.
