Orby Sale purchase Never Can Tell landed the Betfred Cesarewitch at Newmarket this afternoon under a brilliant ride by Frankie Dettori.
The 25-1 winner was drawn wide but was sent to the centre of the track entering the straight and kept on strongly when challenged to win from Ermyn Lodge in second. When challenged, Dettori and his willing partner battled gamely to deny Ermyn Lodge, who returned at 16-1. Owned by Dr Marwan Koukash and trained by Jamie Osborne, Never Can Tell was sold by Camas Park Stud to Oaks Farm Stables for €30,000 at the 2008 Goffs Orby Sale.
