Orby Keeps Giving With More Group 1 Success

Aclaim capped off a terrific day of racing at Chantilly when winning the Group 1 Qatar Prix de la Foret for Martyn Meade. Coming off a strong win in the Group 2 Park Stakes at Doncaster, Aclaim showed good form after a tricky run and came up the outside to give a powerful run in the final stretch home. The weekend's win adds a fourth black type win and the first Group 1 for the Acclamation colt.

Aclaim was sold as an Orby yearling by Swordlestown Stud to Stephen Hillen for €130,000. This result follows strong sales at the 2017 Orby Sale, topped by €1.6m Frankel ex Belesta colt consigned by Marhill House Stud to Justin Casse for Zayat Stables, further highlighting the sales ability to produce top class international Group 1 horses, in Ribchester, Capla Temptress, Here Comes When, and now Aclaim.

Goffs graduates also excelled in the 32Red Gold Cup Heritage Handicap at Haydock. Led by dual Goffs November Foal and Orby graduate, Donjuan Triumphant headed home three November Foal graduates in second placed Stake Acclaim, third placed Ice Age and fourth Mr Lupton. Donjuan Triumphant is a Group 2 winner and was sold as a foal by Kilcarn Park to Lynn Lodge Stud for €58,000.
