Richard Hannon enjoyed his second two year old Stakes win in a week with an Orby graduate when Sky Lantern won the Listed Coolmore EBF Sprint Stakes at Naas this afternoon.
The 11/8 favourite Sky Lantern and True Verdict fought it out through the final furlong but the daughter of Red Clubs got up to win by half a length under Richard Hughes.
Richard Hannon junior commented “I was very impressed with the way she did it. She’s a lovely filly and crying out for seven furlongs. We’ll enter her for the Albany and see what happens.
Sky Lantern was sold by Tally Ho Stud to SackvilleDonald at last year's Orby Sale for €75,000. Hannon's super impressive Sir Prancealot is also a graduate of the same sale.
