Punchestown Success For Goffs & Gigginstown

Last Instalment as the easy winner of the Grade 2 Florida Pearl Novice Chase at Punchestown, the first leg of a double for Goffs with Gigginstown House Stud-owned Goffs graduates.

The Philip Fenton trained son of Anshan is unbeaten over fences having won on his chasing debut at Galway last month.  He will likely reappear at the Leopardstown Christmas Festival with the RSA Chase at Cheltenham the long term target.  Last Instalment was sold by John O’Mahony to Kevin Power for €10,500 at the 2008 Goffs Land Rover Sale.

The Willie Mullins trained Make Your Mark landed the Bumper by an impressive 11 lengths.  The Benefical 4 year old was purchased at the inaugural Goffs Punchestown Festival Sale in May by Willie Mullins and Harold Kirk for €100,000, and was sold previously at Goffs Land Rover Sale by George Williams to Whitehall Stud for €25,000.  This was Make A Track’s first racecourse appearance having won his point to point at Lisronagh prior to the Goffs point to point sale.  According to Mullins he will go straight over hurdles now.

The next opportunity to purchase future National Hunt stars at Goffs is the December National Hunt Sale on 7 December, which features a quality selection of foals, older horses and breeding stock.  Foal graduates include Ballabriggs, Imperial Commander, Peddlers Cross, Captain Cee Bee, Pandorama etc.  The Sale also features the inaugural Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association NH Foal Show.
