Royal Ascot fancies head Goffs London Sale entries

Leading Norfolk Stakes fancy Cappella Sansevero, winner of the Listed Marble Hill Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday, is among the high class Horses In Training already entered for Goffs London Sale in association with QIPCO.  One of the top two year olds seen this season, the Ger Lyonstrained son of Showcasing is a winner on all three of his starts to date.

The Horses in Training entries for the ground breaking sale on the eve of Royal Ascot are closing this week and will be added to the 36 classy two year old breezers to be sold at The Orangery at Kensington Palace on Monday 16 June 2014.

Another to be consigned by Ger Lyons with a Royal Ascot engagement is Dandyleekie who will target the Windsor Castle Stakes.  The Dandy Man colt is certain to progress from his winning debut at Navan last week where he looked every bit a Group performer in the making.  Noel Quinlan’s impressive maiden winner Prophesize is another hugely promising juvenile catalogued.

Amongst the older horses confirmed is Tonton Macoute the winner of a very competitive handicap at the Curragh during Irish Guineas weekend.  The son of Yeats looks a horse to follow as he steps up in trip from this ten furlong success.  Other highlights of the Horses In Training entered so far include Ocean Tempest who has won his last two races at Listed level and is officially rated 115, as well as Passing Star, a three year old son of Royal Applause who has won on his first three starts for Charlie Hills and will be sold with an entry in the Jersey Stakes at the Royal Meeting.

Two exciting prospects from Tom Dascombe include the smart Kodiac colt Roudee, a winner first time out before running a close second in the Lily Agnes at Chester, and the improvingTrinityelitedotcom who looks a live contender for the Wokingham.  He has not finished outside the first three in his last eleven runs, including five wins.

Commenting on the entries so far Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby said:

“The publication of the Breeze-Up section of the Goffs London Sale has created quite a stir as it really is a catalogue of true quality. We have now added some serious contenders for Royal Ascot which means we will deliver our stated goal of presenting a sale of world class horses in the grounds of a stunning palace on the eve of the most prestigious meeting on the planet.”

The Breeze Up section of the London catalogue received several exciting black type updates at the weekend, including the full brother to Derby hope Adelaide (Galileo ex Elletelle), winner of the Group 3 Gallinule Stakes at The Curragh, while the Group 2 Temple Stakes winner Hot Streak also has a brother in the sale (Alfred Nobel ex Ashirah).  Another notable update was for the New Approach filly out of White House who is a sister to the dam of Stakes winning HIT entry Cappella Sansevero.

The full catalogue of Horses In Training and Breeze Up horses will be published on 4 June and will be available online on www.goffs.com from Friday evening, 30 May.
