The 41 horses in training from The Wildenstein Stables Ltd Dispersal will be offered for sale at Goffs this Wednesday immediately following the end of the Orby Sale.  Consigned by The Castlebridge Consignment the draft is a mixture of 26 juveniles and 15 three-year-olds, offering huge potential for those looking for some classy young racehorses as well as breeders who want to tap into the breeding programme that has served the family so well over the years. Indeed, 28 of the 41 are fillies and several have serious paddock potential.  The horses in training have been with John Oxx and Joseph O'Brien for the past number of weeks leading up to the sale.

Of the proven horses Dalakhani’s Group-placed three-year-old daughter Asterina (Lot 511) looks sure attract plenty of interest, particularly as she is a half-sister to Listed winner Akatea and out of Peintre Celebre’s Listed-placed Altamira, a full-sister to the Prix Exbury (Gr 3) winner Affaire Solitaire. The first time out winner Armure Bleue (Lot 512) is another who will have plenty of appeal. She is a daughter of Invincible Spirit and out of a Rainbow Quest daughter of the Prix de Diane (Gr 1) winner Aquarelliste. Another progressive three-year-old filly is the winner Lady Alienor (Lot 500), an Elusive Quality half-sister to the Listed winner Lady Of Kyushu, from the smart family of Irish 2,000 Guineas (Gr 1) winner Roderic O'Connor.

The three-year-old colts includes winner Andrea Mantegna, a Giant’s Causeway son of Listed winner Adventure Seeker, from the All Along family (Lot 510). Other three-year-olds colts include the winner Oakmont (Lot 504), while the final lot (Lot 513), Bold Emperor, who was placed on his only start to date, is a Galileo half-brother to the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches (Gr 1) Beauty Parlour.

The two-year-olds of the Wildenstein Stables Dispersal gives further unique access to some of Europe’s most prestigious families. One of the most successful is that of the Prix de l'Opéra (Gr 2) winner Albertine which has produced likes of the Prix de Diane (Gr 1) Aquarelliste and her Grade 1 winning own-brother Artiste Royal. The highlight of these could be Andira (Lot 495), an Elusive Quality filly out of the Listed winner Andromeda Galaxy, while Almada (Lot 494) is a daughter of Lonhro out of the Listed-placed Amerique, who is a Galileo daughter of Aquarelliste. Elusive City’s daughter Ancoa (Lot 496) is another who holds Aquarelliste as her second-dam.

The Plencia family is another line that has given the Wildenstein family so many top-class horses that includes their brilliant Arc winner Peintre Celebre. Pavini (Lot 478) could really keep this line strong being the unraced Dubawi daughter of the Prix de Pomone (Gr 2) winner Peinture Rare, who is herself a Sadler’s Wells half-sister to Peintre Celebre. Piquiri (Lot 479) is another, the Fastnet Rock filly out of a Sadler’s Wells full-sister to the Grand Prix de Deauville (Gr 2) winner Policy Maker.

The sole Galileo two-year-old to be offered in the Wildenstein horses in training draft is his daughter Special Gal (Lot 485), who is out of Danehill Group-placed Special Delivery. Another beautifully bred filly is the Dalakhani’s daughter of the Prix Minerve (Gr 3) winner Prairie Runner, Prairie Blossom (Lot 481), who is a half-sister to the Group 2 winners Prairie Star and Pacific Rim.

The esteemed Virunga family has a couple of fillies catalogued including a Vila Nova (Lot 489) a Silver Frost filly out of a daughter of the Prix de l'Opera (Gr 2) Verveine.

Adventure Seeker, a granddaughter of the Wildenstein’s dual Champion All Along, has an Elusive Quality filly in Araca (Lot 492). Bengala (Lot 498), a Pivotal daughter of Bright Sky is another that looks set to attract plenty attention as will be Barrancas (Lot 497), who is a Silver Forest half-sister to the Prix de Diane (Gr 1) winner.

Of the newer families to enter the Wildenstein breeding empire, Poana (Lot 480), is a New Approach daughter of the Prix Maurice de Gheest (Gr 1) Porlezza, while the Hard Spun filly Rewa (Lot 483) is out of the Listed winner Regatta. There is plenty of top-class speed in the pedigree of Rancheria (Lot 484), an Acclamation granddaughter of Champion two-year-old filly Rolly Polly. Another with good speed could be the Siyouni filly Seriema (Lot 486), from the family of Machiavellian, who is a half-sister to Listed winner Hippolyte. There also six two-year-old colts which is includes the unraced full-brother to the Prix Cleopatre (Gr 3) Little Nightingale (Lot 473).
