Class filly Tarfasha upstaged high profile mare Chicquita to give Goffs the quinella in the Group 2 Blandford Stakes at the Curragh today.
The Dermot Weld trained three-year-old daughter of Teofilo completed an excellent weekend for her owner Shadwell Stud who also saw Estidhkaar win the Group 2 Champagne Stakes at Doncaster yesterday.
Tarfasha was purchased by Derrinstown Stud from Rockfield Farm at the 2011 Goffs November Sale for €200,000. Chicquita is also a graduate of the Goffs November Sale having been purchased by Peter and Ross Doyle for €6 million last year.
