Viztoria another Goffs Classic contender

Viztoria put herself firmly on track for the Group 1 Irish 1000 Guineas with a smooth success on her seasonal debut in the Group 3 EBF Athasi Stakes at the Curragh.

The daughter of Oratorio won the Listed Blenheim Stakes at the same course last year before finishing second in the Group 2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte in November and will tackle her biggest test to date in the Group 1  Irish 1,000 Guineas later this month.

Viztoria was bred by Airlie Stud, who sold her to Chinook Farm for 15,000EUR at the Goffs February Sale 2011. She will bid to follow in the Classic footsteps of fellow Goffs graduate Sky Lantern, who led home a Goffs 1-2 in the Group 1 1000 Guineas at Newmarket yesterday, a victory that meant Goffs have sold a European Classic winner for the ninth consecutive year in 2013.
