Today’s Coral Welsh National at Chepstow was won in excellent style by Goffs Land Rover graduate Monbeg Dude.
The Michael Scudamore trained eight year old was given a perfectly timed ride by Paul Carberry who took Monbeg Dude from last to first to win by half a length to favourite Teaforthree.
Winner of a Grade 3 Chase at Cheltenham in November, Monbeg Dude is currently 33/1 to enjoy more National success at Aintree. The son of Witness Box was bought for just €5000 at the Goffs Land Rover Sale in 2009 by Donnchadh Doyle where he was consigned by Crillea Farm.
It was a 1-2-3 for GoffsDBS as second and third places were filled by Spring Sales graduates Teaforthree and Triggerman.
