£100,000 Time Test Breeding Right Tops Goffs Online Sale

The Goffs Online Sale of Stallion Breeding Rights, which immediately followed the completion of the vibrant three day Goffs February Sale, came to a successful conclusion this afternoon will all five of the breeding rights catalogued selling and a six figure top price.

Topping the timed online auction was Time Test (Lot 2) who stands at The National Stud in Newmarket. A son of Dubawi, Time Test has made a brilliant start to his stud career, finishing 2021 as the leading first season sire by black type winners. The breeding right was purchased by Dash Grange Stud for £100,000.

A breeding right to last year’s Champion European First Season Sire, Tally-Ho Stud’s Cotai Glory (Lot 5), was another to feature when selling to Paul Harley Bloodstock for €40,000. Three sires standing at Darley completed the catalogue with breeding rights to Profitable (Lot 3), sire of the Gr.2 Queen Mary Stakes winner Quick Suzy, selling for €35,000 to Joseph Burke who brokered the sale of Quick Suzy prior to her Royal Ascot success last season, while Gr.1 producing sire Territories (Lot 1) was purchased by Elizabeth Jones for £18,000 and Champion 2YO Belardo (Lot 4) sold to Leslie Young for €16,500.

Goffs Group Chief Executive Henry Beeby commented:

“Today’s online sale completes a successful week for Goffs and marks a first for the company – selling horses in a traditional, physical sale and also in an online only auction in the same week. It demonstrates the ever-growing capabilities and ongoing innovation of Goffs to be able to conduct auctions in both spheres and it has been very pleasing to see all five of the breeding rights sell. The sale has provided a solid platform on which we can grow and we look forward to expanding our online sales offer in the future.”
