Altior and Topofthegame record Grade 1 double for Goffs Land Rover Sale

Altior and Topofthegame record Grade 1 double for Goffs Land Rover Sale

Goffs Land Rover Sale's strong record at the Cheltenham Festival received a further boost with a Grade 1 double on Day 2.  Victory was headed by the awesome ALTIOR who retained his Queen Mother Champion Chase crown in some style for Patricia Pugh, Nicky Henderson and Nico De Boinville. His fourth triumph at the Festival was also Altior’s eighteenth in a record-equalling unbeaten run.  Altior was sold at Goffs Land Rover Sale by Kilmoney Cottage Stud to Highflyer Bloodstock.

TOPOFTHEGAME evoked memories of the great Denman at Cheltenham for the same connections of Paul Nicholls and Paul Barber as he prevailed under Harry Cobden in a thrilling finish to the Grade 1 RSA Insurance Novice Chase, and looks to be an exciting contender for the Gold Cup back at Cheltenham next year.  Topofthegame was sold at the Land Rover Sale by Parkdota Stud for Mr Con Hickey and bought by Monbeg Stables who later sold him at the Goffs UK Aintree Sale to Highflyer Bloodstock.
