As the closing date approaches for entries into Goffs London Sale, Cadillac provided a timely reminder of the unique opportunity that this sale provides when winning the Betfred Handicap on Oaks Day at Epsom.
Cadillac was sold for £500,000 as a four-year-old having won a Leopardstown Listed race for Jessica Harrington just ten days before the 2022 London Sale, adding to his previous wins at Group 2 and Group 3 level. Bought on the eve of Royal Ascot, he went on to finish second in the Wolferton Stakes for his new connections the following day, rewarding the judgement of owner Sheikh Abdullah Al Sabah who, alongside his son Sheikh Faisal, bid for the horse himself.
Goffs London Sale in association with Privat 3 Money will take place on Monday 19 June at Kensington Palace Gardens. The catalogue will be released online next week and already includes a number of Royal Ascot runners, international racing prospects as well as breeding rights to two of the hottest stallions of the moment. Wild card entries will then be taken up to the day of sale.
