Goffs Orby Sale consistently produces European Classic winners season after season and yesterday at Doncaster the Roger Varian trained Eldar Eldarov became the latest Classic graduate of the Irish National Yearling Sale when storming home in the Group 1 Cazoo St Leger for owners KHK Racing and jockey David Egan. Previously winner of the Group 2 Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot, Eldar Eldarov's St Leger victory provided breeder Kirsten Rausing with a brilliant first English Classic. The Dubawi colt is from a famous Lanwades family being out of multiple Listed winner All At Sea, a Sea The Stars sister to the dam of five-time Group 1 winner Alpinista, who is out of Champion German race mare Albanova. He was sold by Staffordstown at the 2020 Orby Sale to Mags O’Toole and Oak Tree Farm.
