The Derrinstown Stud draft dominated the top spots, with four six figure lots headed by a Dark Angel colt out of a winning daughter of Champion 2YO filly Shimah (Lot 370 - pictured) that sold online for €180,000 to Adam Driver who also secured a Dark Angel filly from the same draft when going to €155,000 for Lot 348, a daughter of Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes winner and multiple Group 1 placed Maqaasid.

John Kilbride of Kilbride Equine purchased the first six figure lot of the day in Derrinstown Stud’s Lot 208, a Shamardal half-sister to two Stakes placed horses, for €170,000.  Kerr & Co later purchased a son of Teofilo out of Group 3 winner Rawaaq (Lot 437), also from Derrinstown, for €140,000.

Abbeville Stud’s Profitable filly Ostraka (Lot 395) was another standout on Day 1 when Garrett Freyne went to €95,000 for the daughter of a Stakes placed sister to star sprinter Osterhase.
