Quality initial entries announced for Goffs Champions Sale

A Group and Listed winning three-year-old filly and an impressive winner of a Curragh Maiden head up the initial entries for next week's Goffs Champions Sale in association with Brown Thomas which takes place before racing at Leopardstown on Saturday 15 September.  The next few days could see plenty of high class sale prospects emerging and the complete catalogue will be announced after the weekend.

Jim Bolger’s Cimeara, from the family of Goldikova has won her last two starts in black type races at Leopardstown and looks a high class prospect for staying races or international breeders.
Michael O’ Callaghan has his winning 2yo daughter of Dark Angel, Angelic Light, who was a decisive winner of a large Curragh Maiden last week, while the same trainer also offers Carbon Fibre, a 2yo colt who was runner up to Ballydoyle Classic prospect Ten Sovereigns.
A four time winner Dawn Hoofer and two other eye-catching maidens, Mary Salome and Will Be King make up the entries at present. The latter was also a winner of a Dundalk barrier trial, a concept introduced this year by Irish Thoroughbred Marketing.
All horses will be offered with a pre-sale vetting and entries will be taken until the day of the sale.
