Goffs Punchestown Sale taking shape

April has already been a good month on the track for graduates of the Goffs Punchestown Sale, which include Willie Mullins’ Fairyhouse winner Getabird (pictured) and Colin Tizzard’s Aintree Grade 1 runner-up Vision Des Flos.

Although this weekend’s five point-to-point meetings should see plenty of high class sale prospects emerging, Goffs have already secured a number of winners for next week’s sale, to be held after racing on Thursday.

Among those catalogued at this stage are two recent Bumper winners, Impatient Partner, who won at Cork for Noel Meade and owner Eoin Banville, and the Mags Mullins-trained Tramore winner Agusta Gold. Three point-to-point winners from last weekend are to be sold including the Rathcannon duo of At The Acorn (4yo) and Champagne Well (5yo) and the Stradbally 5yo winner Lord Springfield. Another interesting entry is George Stewart’s I’m Here, who was an eye-catching winner last month of a 12 runner maiden at Kirkistown.
