Goffs Win with Thyestes

In the week of the Goffs Thyestes Chase it is a fitting announcement that Goffs will continue their sponsorship of this iconic race for a further three years up until 2024. The race has become known as the race that stops a county and this years edition takes place on 23rd January.
 

The team at Goffs are delighted to extend this sponsorship and Mr Henry Beeby, Goffs Group Chief Executive said “Goffs is delighted to continue our association with the iconic Thyestes Chase which is one of the key races in the National Hunt calendar and a superb days racing”.

As one would expect the team at Gowran Park are delighted with the sponsorship renewal and are really looking forward to the next three years. The Goffs Thyestes Chase is without question the most anticipated race at Gowran Park & Goffs continued support of this is a massive vote of confidence to us all at Gowran Park.
 

This years Goffs Thyestes Chase goes to post at 3pm and there will be much anticipation in the air. Final declarations will be known on Wednesday morning however entries include Acapella Bourgeois, Chef Des Obeaux, Ex Patriot and the early bookies favourite Minella Till Dawn trained by Gordon Elliott.
 

There is a very interesting card on the day with the John Mulhern Galmoy Hurdle going to post at 1.50pm won in the past two years by Presenting Percy who is also entered this year.

Tickets bought online at GowranPark.ie will give prompt access to the track as they can be printed off or scanned on the phone. People who purchase online can avail of reduced ticket prices. At the entrance on the day tickets will be priced at €25 for adults and €20 for OAP/Students.
 

Aside from the top-class racing Gowran Park has a host of entertainment for everyone to enjoy after racing. There are live bands on all floors and in the Heineken Live Marquee plus culinary delights to suit all palates.
 

Gates open at 10.30am with the first race going to post at 12.45pm. Courtesy buses will run from the gates of Kilkenny Castle Gates from 10.45am on the day & return at 5pm.
