International success for London Sale
With four weeks until the Goffs London Sale, 2015 graduate DUCA VALENTINOIS highlighted the international success of the sale with his weekend win in Australia. Duca Valentinois won the Group 3 Lord Mayor’s Cup at Doomben for James Cummings and Godolphin, making this his first Group 3 win having previously been a Listed winner at the Hawkesbury Ladies Day Cup. Duca Valentinois was sold by Johnny Murtagh’s Fox Covert Stables to John Ferguson for £190,000.
Closer to home, this weekend saw Goffs graduates finish 1-2-3 in the Group 3 Gallinule Stakes at the Curragh, with PLATINUM WARRIOR (pictured) leading home Latrobe and Harvestfortheworld. Platinum Warrior, trained by Michael Halford for Yu Long, was purchased by BBA Ireland from Castlebridge Consignment for €200,000 from the Orby Sale. Latrobe and Harvestfortheworld were sold at the November Foal Sale and Orby Sales respectively.
