Job Opportunity: Assistant Facilities Manager

Goffs is a leading European thoroughbred auction house that sells circa 3,000 horses each year during 10 sales, primarily from its world class 750 stable facility in Co Kildare.

Goffs seek an experienced, motivated and organised individual to fulfil the role of a full time Assistant Facilities Manager at Kildare Paddocks, Co Kildare.  This is a permanent position.

Working alongside the Facilities Team, the successful candidate must possess excellent communication and managerial skills with the ability to work under pressure. Capable of meeting tight deadlines and available to work additional hours for sales or when required. A knowledge and experience of working with horses would be a significant advantage.

The successful applicant will report to the Facilities Manager and will have responsibility in the following areas:

  • Day to day running of the sales complex
  • Periodic construction and maintenance projects
  • Interaction with sales day clients
  • Coordination of temporary sales day staff
  • Administration assistance to Facilities Manager (basic IT skills required)
