More Group Success For Goffs Sportsman’s Sale

Goffs Sportsman’s graduate Sir Dancealot was back on form over the weekend as he notched up another Group 2 win when landing the Hird Rail Group Park Stakes at Doncaster. This marks the David Elsworth trained gelding’s fourth Group 2 victory including consecutive wins in the Group 2 Qatar Lennox Stakes.

A dual Goffs graduate, Sir Dancealot was sold at the Goffs November Foal Sale by Vincent Duignan to Forge Stables, who sold him as a yearling at the Sportsman’s Sale to Joanna Morgan and Kevin Quinn for €30,000.

The Sportsman’s Sale has the highest strike rate for two year old winners of any Irish yearling sale and buyers will have even more quality and choice this year as the sale has been extended to two days, from 3 – 4 October. View Sportsman's Sale catalogue.

This is the first black type win for the Dansili filly, who was previously placed in the Grade 2 Lake Placid Stakes and the Grade 3 Lake George Stakes.

Blowout, who is out of the Classic winner Beauty Parlour who made €1.6m the same year at Goffs, was sold at the Wildenstein Dispersal Sale from The Castlebridge Consignment to Whitebirch for €450,000.
