More Success In Store:  Land Rover Catalogue Now Online

Nine individual Grade 1 winners headlined an outstanding jumps season for Goffs Land Rover Sale, and there is more success in store for buyers this year at Goffs as 525 top class National Hunt stores have been catalogued for the 2019 Land Rover Sale which takes place from 11 – 12 June.  The catalogue is now available online.

Altior graces the catalogue cover for the third year in succession, following a remarkable repeat win in the Grade 1 Queen Mother Champion Chase, while his victory in the Grade 1 bet365 Celebration Chase at Sandown last weekend set a new world record for the most successive NH wins ever.   Altior’s Champion Chase crowned another exceptional Cheltenham for Goffs Land Rover Sale with five winners, including three Grade 1s, making it the leading store sale at the Festival for the sixth year in a row.

Altior was supported this season by a brilliant cast of Land Rover Grade 1 winners that includes Stayers Hurdle winner Paisley Park, RSA Novice Chase winner Topofthegame, as well as Ornua, Felix Desjy and Reserve Tank who were all victorious at Aintree where Land Rover graduates also led the way for National Hunt store sales.

There was also Grade 1 success for sale-topper Hardline and Quick Grabim at Limerick and Fairyhouse, while last year’s Land Rover Bumper winner Commander Of Fleet has become a top novice hurdler, landing a Grade 1 at the Dublin Racing Festival before running a close second in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham.

All horses offered for sale will be eligible for the €100,000 Goffs Land Rover Bumper next year at the Punchestown Festival, with the winning vendor set to win a new Land Rover Discovery Commercial.  The 2019 renewal was won on Tuesday by the Gordon Elliott trained Festival D’Ex, bought last June by Bobby O’Ryan at Goffs and sold by Johnny Collins of Brown Island Stables.

Announcing the launch of the 2019 catalogue, Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby said:

“To have nine individual winners at the top level, more than any other store sale by some margin, is testament to the ever increasing quality of horse on offer at Goffs Land Rover Sale.  This level of quality is thanks to the support of leading vendors who continue to send more of their best to Goffs.

The Land Rover is an established Grade 1 sale and we have a proven Grade 1 selection team who have worked with vendors to compile a simply unmissable catalogue packed with top class store horses for the 2019 renewal”.

The online catalogue can be viewed here  and the printed catalogue will be available next week.  Each day is catalogued alphabetically by dam with trade on both sessions beginning at 10am.
